1. How did you become a part of MTF?
Jake and I began playing guitars and having times of worship together in our Youth room at church and after a while we felt that God was calling us to serve Him through music ministry. So...we kept playing in the Youth room and prayed about it and began to write some songs and eventually God knit all of us together with the same passions and desires so that we could serve Him in this way.
2. What inspired you to become a musician?
Well, my dad's side of the family is very musical so I grew up around music. I developed an interest when I was pretty young but never really got into it until I was a little bit older. The more that I learned about music and the more I practiced the more I began to enjoy it! This is definitely a desire given to me by God; music is a wonderful gift that God has given us!
3. Besides the instrument you play for MTF, what other instruments do you play?
I play drums, cello, and some piano.
4. Who are some of your musical influences?
Well, many scriptures from the Psalms influence me greatly. I listen to a great variety of music since Music is my major in college. Many of my professors have been great musical influences on me. Generally speaking, I listen to music by DCB*, Shane and Shane, Redman, Delirious, Newsboys, Lincoln Brewster, and really anything that exalts Christ.
5. What do you believe is your role in missions?
I believe that as long as I am able to physically go and God calls me to do that I will go and absolutely love it. We are all called to pray for Global Missions. I also really enjoy teaching and informing people about what the Bible commands for us in Missions. Any means, rather it be going, sending, mobilizing, or praying, I want to be a part.
6. A random fact about Aaron…
I like to use the bathroom outdoors?!
